Replace used toiletries, reset toilet-roll to a hotel-style point. Leave a fresh hand towel and a folded bath towel on the rail. Minutes 40-60: Kitchen
Wipe every worktop and splashback. Clean the hob, the inside of the microwave, the sink and taps. Empty and wipe the fridge, leaving just the essentials you provide as a host (bottled water, milk if that’s your standard). Wipe appliance fronts, including fingerprints on the fridge and oven. Check the dishwasher is empty and left open-door. Wipe the table and chairs. Sweep the floor.
Minutes 60-75: Bedrooms
Make up the beds with fresh linens – iron the pillowcases and bedspread if presentation matters to your listing. Dust the bedside tables, headboards and lamp bases. Vacuum or mop the floor. Check under the bed for any guest-left items. Reset curtains or blinds to your standard open/closed position.
Minutes 75-85: Living Areas
Plump cushions on the sofa. Fold throws to match your listing photos. Dust the TV stand, coffee table and any side tables. Check remotes are on the coffee table with fresh batteries. Vacuum or sweep the floor. Wipe the dining table if there is one.
Minutes 85-90: Final Walk-Through
Walk the property as if you were a guest arriving. Check each room against your listing photos: is anything out of place? Spray a light fragrance – not overpowering, and neutral. Set the AC to the arrival-temperature. Lock up, double-check the key-box code, update the booking platform to “cleaned and ready”.
